Carl Farmer Is Interred At Lorena

Funeral services for Carl S. Farmer, Sr., 66, were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 8, from the Lorena Baptist Church with Rev. H. O. Alford and Rev. G. T. Henderson officiating. Interment followed in the Lorena Cemetery with Ott & Lee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Farmer passed away Saturday at his home in Pelahatchie following a short illness. He was a native of Crystal Springs and had lived in Jackson for several years before moving to Pelahatchie two years ago. He was a retired employee of the Heidelberg Hotel and was a Baptist.

Survivors include, his wife, Mrs. Beulah Farmer, Pelahatchie; three sons, Vernon, Carl, Jr. and Scotty Farmer of Jackson; one stepson, Verlin Vinzant of Pelahatchie; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson of Georgetown, and one stepdaughter, Mrs. Mayzell Monk of Pelahatchie and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Donald Monk, Clell Hill, Clyde Arinder, Sherman Barrett, Michael Carpenter and Don Stewart.
