CARL LEON BANKSTON, JR.

Died 1 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, 1987, at his residence in Franklinton. He was 59, and a former resident of Metairie. He was a retired civil engineer with McDermott International.

Visiting at Crain Funeral Home, Franklinton, 1 p.m. until religious services at 3 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Willis Dear. Burial in Ellis Cemetery, Franklinton.

Survived by wife, Myrth Strickland Bankston, Metairie; a son, Carl Leon Bankston III, Philippine Island; three daughters, Mrs. W.T. (Katherine) Cross and Elizabeth Pointer Bankston, both of Dallas, Texas, and Marianne Sargent Bankston, Metairie; and three grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Carl Leon Bankston Sr. and Dora Sargent Bankston.

He was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
