Carl S. Moore
Carl S. Moore, 72, of 1831 Bryan Place, died Thursday at Highland Hospital after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. today in the Osborn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Braden of the Broadmoor United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery.
Mr. Moore was a native of Pine Bluff, Ark. He had lived in the Shreveport-Bossier City area for the past 42 years.
He was a retired chief clerk for the Cotton Belt Railroad.
He was past Master of the First Masonic Lodge and past Master of the Martin-McClanahan Masonic Lodge No. 384. He had acted in all the York Rite, and he was serving as field agent for the Masonic Service Association of the United States when he died.
He was a volunteer worker for the Veterans Administration Hospital. He was a Methodist, and a member of the Couples Class of the Broadmoor United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Moore of Shreveport; and a sister, Doris Moore of Pine Bluff.
Masonic graveside services will be conducted following the chapel servces. Pallbearers will be members of the Martin-McClanahan Lodge No. 384 -- A. J. Lewis, R. H. Smith, R. L. Togersen, R. M. Hawn, Pete Burt, Charles Boone, Wayne Summerlin and Hugh T. McDonald.
