Carl Walker Funeral Rites Conducted Today

Funeral services for Carl Walker, 61-year-old retired veteran of the U. S. Air Force, were held at 9 a.m. today in the chapel of Kilpatrick's Funeral Home with the Rev. Leon Ivy officiating.

Burial, under the direction of Kilpatrick's, was to be in the New Hope cemetery near Dodson.

Mr. Walker, who lived at 603 North Sixth street, Monroe, died Saturday night in the Glenwood Hospital after a brief illness following a heart attack. He had served with the Air Force for more than 20 years.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. H. J. Waller, Monroe; four brothers, Leroy Walker, Dodson, Robert Walker, Winnfield, J. J. Walker of Texas City, Texas, and Alfred W. Walker, Monroe.

Pallbearers were to be his nephews.
