Mr. Carlous Emmons

Funeral services for Carlous C. Emmons, 75, were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 30, 1993, from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Forest. Rev. Clifton Thornton officiated. Interment was made in the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Lawrence.

Mr. Emmons passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 1993, at the Mobile Infirmary in Mobile, AL following an extended illness. He was a retired welder with Ingalls and served in World War II as a Marine. He was of Christian faith.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martha V. Emmons of Wade; three sons, Rev. Billy Emmons of Lake, Mr. Ferrell Emmons of Hurley, and Mr. Randy Emmons of Wade; three daughters, Mrs. Bobbie Ladner of Kreole, Ms Annie Lou Emmons of Wade, and Mrs. Vera Jane Byrd of Hurley; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Mae Evans of Jackson and Mrs. Betty Lou Campbell of South Carolina; one brother, Mr. Perry Emmons of Wade; seventeen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Milton Rush, Billy Mack Emmons, Sam Emmons, Daniel Byrd, Carl Ladner, and Jason Smith.

Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest was in charge of arrangements.
