Carlotta Stovall Ferguson

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Services celebrating the life of Carlotta Stovall Ferguson will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, July 23, 2007 at Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Dr. Mark Martin, associate pastor of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Avenue. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel.

Carlotta was born January 15, 1927 to Dennis Mackey and Louella Gaar Stovall in Sykes [sic Sikes], LA. and passed away Thursday, January [sic July] 19, 2007. Carlotta was an active member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, which came second only to spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis Mackey and Louella Gaar Stovall; her brothers, D.M. Stovall, Jr., Carl Stovall, John Stovall, Rev. James L. Stovall and Woodrow Stovall; and her sisters, Velda Prince and Maureen McCarty.

Carlotta is survived by her devoted husband of sixty years, R.A. Ferguson; her three sons and their families, Gary and his wife Karen of Shreveport and his daughters, Jennifer and Lindsey, David and his wife Janice of Humble, TX. and their two sons, Brian of Longview, TX. and Kevin of Baton Rouge, LA. and their daughter, Kristen of Humble, TX; Chris and his wife Kellie and their children, Caleb, Logan and Morgan, all of Florien, LA.; two sisters, Evelyn Finuf and Sarah Fouts, both of Shreveport, LA.

Honoring Mrs. Ferguson as pallbearers will be Buster Finuf, Lonnie Fouts, Danny McCarty, Paul Prince, Chuck Prince and Jimmy Ray Fouts.
