Carole Vinson Crain

SHREVEPORT, LA -- Funeral services for Carole Vinson Crain, age 76, will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be conducted by Pastor Trey Lewis. Visitation will be held one hour before services, and interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Cemetery.

Carole was born in Alto, Louisiana on January 29, 1933. She graduated from Byrd High School in 1951, and was employed by Marlin Exploration Inc., retiring after 42 dedicated years of service. Carole passed away on Wednesday, April 1st, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Carole is survived by Marvin Crain, her husband of 53 years, daughter Lee Ann Fleming and husband Rick, granddaughter Kelly Fleming, and grandson Beau Fleming. In addition she is survived by brothers J.R. Vinson and wife Doris, Carl Vinson and wife Lee, sister Sue Smith, and many nieces and nephews.

Honoring Carole as pallbearers will be Beau Fleming, E.J. Baker, Buddy Bickham, Sam Power, Charles Smith, and Andrew Stamos. Honorary pallbearers are Betty and Percy Thomas, Dr. Hollis Gamble, and Jon Q=Petersen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kingston Road Baptist Church or the donor's choice.
