Graveside services for Carolyn Burton, 71, of Lufkin, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2007, in the Bennett Cemetery in Apple Springs, with Reverend Carol Clifford Turner and Reverend H. Michael Tyson, II officiating.
Mrs. Burton was born October 13, 1935, in Apple Springs, and died Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. Burton was retired from the Galena Park Independent School District, following 25 years of employment. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors: son, Kenneth, Jr. Burton; son, Brian Burton; 2 aunts; and 2 cousins.
