Carolyn Parker Hightower

Funeral services for Carolyn Parker Hightower, 60, of Rayville were held Saturday in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro with the Rev. Louis Redden officiating.

Burial followed in Harris Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Mrs. Hightower was born July 14, 1942 in Crowville and died Dec. 3, 2002 in Rayville. She was a retired employee of the Louisiana Department of Health and Social Services.

Survivors include her husband, Travis Don Hightower, Rayville; a step-son Donnie Hightower of Thailand; her twin brother, Carl Parker, Monroe; brothers, Wayne Parker, Alabaster, Ala.; and Ben Earl Parker, McLeod, Texas; sisters, Jeannetta Ingram, Liddieville; Sarah McQuillin, Richland, Miss.; Dorothy Parker, Winnsboro; two sisters-in-law, Rozelle Arant and Marie Crain, both of Bastrop; and three brothers-in-law, Tommy Hightower, Pine Bluff, Ark.; Bert Hightower and James Hightower, both of Bastrop; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Nephews served as pallbearers.
