Carolyn Burris Crum
Funeral services for Carolyn Burris Crum, 81, of Fort Necessity, will be held 10 am Friday, May 12, 2017, at Fort Necessity Pentecostal Church with Rev. Daniel Minchew, Earl Maples, and Earl Atcheson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 - 8 pm Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the church.
Mrs Crum was born May 12, 1935, in Winnsboro to the union of Albert Rawls and Fannie Rollins Rawls; she passed from this life on May 10, 2017, at Plantation Manor Nursing Center in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Crum was a cofounder and member of Fort Necessity Pentecostal Church. She was a teacher's assistant at Winnsboro Elementary and Fort Necessity Schools, she was also a Nurse's Aide at Franklin Guest Home.
She is preceded in death by parents; her husbands: Samuel L. Burris and T. C. Crum; two daughters Barbara Barton and Betsy Burris; three sisters: Odessa Turner, Luease Carroll, and Letha Mae Herrington; two brothers: A. J. Rawls and Robert Rawls.
Survivors include one son Byron Burris and wife Nancy of Winnsboro; son-in-law Rickey Barton of Winnsboro; granddaughter Misty Ferrington and husband Joey of Gilbert; two great granddaughters: Kelsey and Karley Ferrington; a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Cowart, Joey Ferrington, Daryl Herrington, Donnie Herrington, Andy Hill, Ali Nabavi, and Ron Wall.
Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Atcheson, Rickey Barton, Dr. Mahmoud Khalil, and J. D. Wilson.
