Carrie Belle Kerr Watson

Memorial services for Carrie Belle Kerr Watson, 89, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the St. Paul's United Methodist Church with Robert L. Faulk officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home. Mrs. Watson was born December 13, 1917 in Huntsville, Texas, to Myrtle (Largent) and Harry M. Kerr, and died Sunday, April 22, 2007 in a local hospital. Mrs. Watson was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. She owned the Cottage Beauty Shop for 20 years, and was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Mrs. Watson loved her family and friends.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Joyce Wallace of Lufkin; daughter, Gladney Dowling of Lufkin; grandchildren, Jay Wallace of Dallas, Greg Wallace of Kingwood, Mary Christian of Irving, Charles L. Dowling of Lufkin and Carrie Dowling Bennefield of Lufkin; three great-granddaughters; sister, Beth Wallace of Tyler; brother and sister-in-law, S. Harry and Eileen Kerr of Lufkin; brother, Thomas William (Bill) Kerr of New Mexico; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle and Harry Kerr; and husband, Thomas E. Watson.
