Cary Joe Hall
January 16, 1944 - August 22, 2009

Cary Joe Hall, 65, of Mt. Holly, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, August 22, 2009, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, following a lengthy illness. Born January 16, 1944 in Winnfield, Louisiana, he was the son of Charlie Edward Hall and Dessie Mae (Buchans) Hall. He was a retired truck driver for Dupree Transport and of the Baptist faith.

Joe, as everyone knew him, loved his family and friends unconditionally. He was known nationwide from being on the road for 48 years, providing for his family. He was always devoted to his job and left nothing unturned when it came to his work. Joe loved racing, fishing, hunting, and watching the Arkansas Razorbacks & Dallas Cowboys play football.

His father, Charlie Edward Hall and two brothers, Sherman and Travis Hall preceded him in death.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 47 years, Karen Hall; two daughters, Lisa Burton and her husband Robert of El Dorado, Mona Lewis and her husband Richard of Mt. Holly; one son, Joseph Hall and his wife Stormy of Smackover; his mother, Dessie Mae Rasberry of Jonesboro, Louisiana; three granddaughters. Amanda Dees and her husband Jonathan of Smackover, Amber Taylor and her husband Weston of Junction City, Jessica Lewis of Mt. Holly; three grandsons, Joel Hall of Alabama, Connor and Heath Hall of Smackover; four great-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Jaxson Kell, Emma Grayce Dees and LeAnna Taylor; two brothers, (twin) Gene Hall of Jonesboro, Louisiana, and Wayne Hall of Dodson, Louisiana; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 10AM Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Young's Chapel with Bro. Anthony Needham officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Holly Cemetery under the direction of Young's.

Visitation will be held Monday from 6- 8PM at the funeral home.
