Catherine Manuel Johnson

Catherine Manuel Johnson, 73, Springfield, Mo., passed away at 7:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 1999, in her home.

Mrs. Johnson, a retired worker with Fasco Industries, was born Oct. 5, 1925, in Ville Platte, La., the daughter of Roy and Camille Launey Slocum. She was united to William "Don" Johnson on Feb. 21, 1981, in Nixa, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson.

She is survived by her husband, Don; two daughters, Cheryl Wilbanks and husband, John, Nixa, Mo., and Cindy Turner; a son, Charles Davis, both of Springfield, Mo.; a step-daughter, Jean Walker and husband, Jerry, Strafford, Mo.; four half-sisters; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1999, in Ayre-Goodwin-Lee, a Heritage Funeral Home at Rivermonte.
