C. Clyde Johnson

Services for C. Clyde Johnson will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Hixson Bros., Alexandria with the Rev. Glen Baber officiating. Burial will be in Butters Cemetery, Forest Hill.

Johnson, 91, of Turkey Creek died Wednesday, July 2, 1997, in Naomi Heights Nursing Home, Alexandria.

He was a member of the Church of Christ, Turkey Creek and a retired foreman for Gifford-Hill Gravel Company.

Survivors include one son, Cecil Clyde Johnson Jr. of Honey Island, Texas; two daughters, Joyce J. Wiley of Turkey Creek and Myrna J. Brocato of Beaumont, Texas; one brother, George M. Johnson II of Forest Hill; seven sisters, Rebecca Whittington of Pine Prairie, Ruby Porter and Juanita Lyles both of Pineville, Vera Hendrix of Houston, Texas, Mernie Rhinehart of Langston, Mich., Georgia Jones of San Antonio, Texas, and Marjorie Hearne of Ky.; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services today in the funeral home.
