Cecil R. Parker

DERRY -- Cecil Raymond Parker, 67, of Derry, died Saturday in his home.

He was a World War II veteran and was a retired as a bus driver for the Natchitoches Parish School Board.

Survivors include his wife, Maggie Kerry Parker of Derry; three sons, Bernell Parker of Winnfield, George Wilson Parker of Williana and Cecil R. Parker Jr. of Natchitoches; seven daughters, Lillie Vee Coutee of Derry, Clara Mae Myers of Mansfield, Mass., Bonnie Ann Champion of Baton Rouge, Ann Spillman of Natchitoches, Glenda Fay Stiefel of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Demple Kay Poche and Diane Poche, both of Montrose; three sisters, Emma Gibbs of Mobile, Ala., May Floyd of Deville and Cleo Derick of Lafayette; two brothers, Joe Parker of Natchez and John M. Parker of Lisbon; 48 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis, Natchitoches, with the Rev. Steve Miller officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Bentley.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. today until time of services in the funeral home.
