Mr. Charles Albert Baldwin Jr., 85, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, at his Brewton residence. He was a native of Mapleville, R.I. and had been a resident of the Brewton area for 26 years, coming from Raceland, La. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army. He was retired from Exxon Corporation and was a member of Alco Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel S. Baldwin.
He is survived by four sons, Charles A. Baldwin III of Gretna, La., David L. Baldwin of Gonzalez, La., Robert L. Baldwin of Perkinston, Miss., and James R. Baldwin of Thibodaux, La.; one daughter, Judith Kay Baldwin of Perkinston, Miss.; one sister, Margaret B. LaFreniere of Glendale, R.I.; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Craver's Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m. at the chapel at Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Caylor officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
