DR. CHARLES D. MCCALL
Funeral services for Dr. Charles D. McCall, 79, of Ingram, Tex., were held Monday afternoon in the Kerrville Funeral Home with burial in Sunset Cemetery at Mountain Home.
Dr. McCall died at noon Saturday, Jan. 25 in the Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital in Kerrville.
A native of Burke, Tex., he graduated from the School of Dentistry at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. He served in the U. S. Army Medical Corps during World War I. Dr. McCall practiced dentistry in Port Arthur for 28 years prior to moving to Kerrville in 1950. He had an office in Kerrville until 1954 when he received an appointment with Gov. Allan Shivers as Chief Dental Surgeon at the San Antonio State Hospital. He remained in that position until his retirement in 1968, and then made his home in Ingram. He was a member of the Manning, Tex. Masonic Lodge; the Scottish Rite Bodies and the Shrine.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nina McCall of Ingram; one daughter, Mrs. J. V. Preddy of Port Arthur; one grandson, Phil Carroll of Austin; one sister, Mrs. Eva Burke of Lufkin and several nieces and nephews.
