VIDALIA -- Services for Charles E. Whittington will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Ronald Hall and Donnie Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Iatt Cemetery, Verda, under direction of Young's, Ferriday.
Whittington, 68, of Ferriday died Thursday, May 7, 1998, in St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria.
He was a construction worker.
Survivors include his wife, Murelene Whittington of Ferriday; two daughters, Shirley Maples of Ridgecrest and Rosalie Davis of Vidalia; three brothers, Alton Whittington of West Monroe, Curtis Whittington of Covington and Billy Whittington of Lafayette; one sister, Linda Delaughter of Clayton; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jim Whittington, Scotty Whittington, Daryle Whittington, Donald Glen Bennett, Waylong Jones and Bill Powell.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
