Charles Edward Williams, Sr.
Graveside service for Charles Edward Williams, Sr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at Restland Memorial Gardens, Pollock with reverend Bob Galloway officiating. Mr. Williams, age 95, of Boyce, entered eternal rest Saturday, November 20, 2004 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas.
He was a retired welder for Interstate Natural Gas Company for 30 years and a 60 year member of the Gideon's.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Adeline Hamberlin Williams and Eddie Elonzo Williams; his wife by first marriage, Nancy Southern Williams; his wife by third marriage, Bonnie Shirley Williams; two sons, Phillip and Charles Williams, Jr.; one daughter, Maxine Williams; two brothers, Jack and Leonard Williams; two sisters, Bertie Bostick and Lula Mixon; and two grandchildren.
He is survived by his former wife, Loretta Smith Ferrier; three sons, Ronald Williams of Lafayette, Jerald Williams of Pass Christian, Mississippi and Shawn Tillman of New York, New York; one daughter, Bonnie Williams of Boyce; one brother, Earnest Williams of Mississippi; seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
