Charles Hosea Etheridge
Charles Hosea Etheridge, 74 of Liberty, MS., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at his sister's residence near Liberty, surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 19, at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty, MS., from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Continues there Friday, Sept. 20, 9:00 AM until Funeral Services at 11:00 AM, from Brown Funeral Home Chapel, Liberty.
Bro. Merrel Blalock and Bro. David Millican will officiate.
Interment to follow at Plainview Cemetery near Liberty.
Pallbearers are Joshua Etheridge, Cameron Etheridge, Sr., Tyler Etheridge, Willie Joe Etheridge, Bobby Joe Etheridge and Jeff Etheridge.
Honorary Pallbearers are his brothers, Willie J. Etheridge, Paul Etheridge, Milford Etheridge and Thomas Etheridge.
Mr. Etheridge was born on Sept. 30, 1938 in Liberty, MS., to Quincy and Nellie Whittington Etheridge. He enjoyed reading the Bible, fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after guarding the Berlin Wall in Germany. He retired from the oil and gas pipeline industry, where he was a heavy equipment operator and also work in construction.
He was a member of the Liberty Church of God of Prophecy.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie; Three Sons, Dale Etheridge and wife Cindy of Gloster, MS.; Sammy Etheridge and wife Sheila of Crosby, MS.; and Tommy McDonald and wife Donna of West Point, MS.
Five Grandchildren, Joshua, Cameron and wife Raven, Aimee, Tyler and Tiffany.
Two Great-Grandchildren, Cameron, Jr. and Julian.
Four Brothers, Willie J. Etheridge; Paul Etheridge and wife Eloise; Milford Etheridge and wife Terry; and Thomas Etheridge and wife Nell.
Four Sisters, Essie Alred and husband Winton; Faye Etheridge; Iris Rouchon and husband C.J.; and Pauline Huhn and husband Eddie.
Mr. Charles is also survived by, Numerous Nieces, Nephews and other family members and friends.
Mr. Etheridge was preceded in death by his Parents, Quincy and Nellie Whittington Etheridge; Mother of his children, Yvonne Randall Ougel; Three Brothers, Nelson Etheridge, Quincy Etheridge, Jr. and Milton Etheridge; and One Sister, Marlene Etheridge.
The Family would like to take this time to thank Hospice Compassuss Staff and his sisters, Faye, Essie and Iris for their love, care and support during this difficult time.
