Charles Ryder, Sr.
Charles James Ryder Sr., 86, resident of Pascagoula for the last 60 years, was dead on arrival Sunday at Singing River Hospital.
A retired dairyman and a member of the First Methodist (Church) of Pascagoula, he resided at 5306 Telephone Rd. He was born Oct. 3, 1887, in Miltona, Minn.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Arva Hinton Ryder, Pascagoula; three sons, Glenn Ray Ryder of Pascagoula, Charles J. Ryder Jr. of Galveston, Texas, and Robert M. Ryder of Waynesboro, Penn.; two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Wood of Moss Point, and Miss Janell Ann Ryder of Thomaston, Ga.; eight grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call between 6 and 10 p.m. this evening at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. John Ask, First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in MachPelah Cemetery.
