CHARLES L. SANDERS

SULPHUR (Spl.) -- Charles Leon Sanders, 65, a resident of Sulphur for 30 years, died at 6 a.m. Saturday in the Veterans Administration hospital in Biloxi, Miss.

Funeral services are incomplete. Time and date of services will be announced from Hixson funeral home in Sulphur.

A retired rice farmer, Mr. Sanders was born in Woodworth, La., and had also lived in Sugartown. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Andrus O'Quinn American Legion Post 179, of Sulphur.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. A. J. Holmes of Nederland, Texas; one son, Raymond Sanders of Daisetta, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Ellender of Sulphur and Mrs. Ada Capledge [sic Catlege] of DeRidder and a number of grandchildren.
