Charles Linford McDonald Sr.

NATCHEZ-Services for Charles Linford McDonald Sr., of Natchez, who died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, in Fort Worth, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. today at Comer Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Gary Howington officiating.

Burial will follow in Central Cemetery in Wisner, La. under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.

Mr. McDonald was born July 26, 1930, in Wisner, La., the son of James C. and Etta H. McDonald. He was a retired security guard with the Mississippi Department of History and Archives. He was a resident of Natchez for about 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Marie McDonald and a brother, J.C. McDonald.

He is survived by a son, Lin McDonald and wife Dana, of Lake Charles, La.; a daughter, Donnah Marie McDonald of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, Lonnie McDonald of Ridgecrest, La.; two sisters, Edith Van Pelt of Natchez and Louise Prather of Gilbert, La.; four grandchildren, Brandy Marie Gunstanson, Nicole Lynn Gunstanson, Brandon Chase Gunstanson and Charles Tyler McDonald.
