Longtime WTU Employee Dies
Charles Lynn Lashlee, 62, of 1465 Cedar Crest Drive, died at his home about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday of an apparent heart attack.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home.
Mr. Lashlee was born in San Angelo Aug. 8, 1910. He attended public schools in San Angelo, graduated from San Angelo High School in 1929 and received his diploma from Angelo State University in 1933. He married the former Medora Reed in Weston, Lousi., in 1935.
Mr. Lashlee was a long time employee of West Texas Utilities Company. During his more than 40 years of service, he served the company in San Angelo as meter clerk and assistant district storekeeper; in Ballinger as district storekeeper, and in Abilene as rate clerk, chief clerk in the rate department and as rate office supervisor.
A member of the First Baptist Church, Mr. Lashlee served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher and as Sunday School superintendent.
Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald Neil Funderburk of Lawton, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. H.T. Harp of San Angelo, and three granddaughters, Kellie Anne, Kimberley Jo and Kaysi Lynn Funderburk.
