Charles Monroe Wilson

SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Charles Monroe Wilson, 71, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2007 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Dana Casey. Interment will follow in Rose-Neath Cemetery, Bossier City, LA.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home.

Charles was born January 28, 1935 in Bradley, AR and passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was a Baptist.

His parents, Charles and Kathleen Wilson, sister, Dolly Thompson, and brothers, Henry and Lloyd Wilson, preceded Charles in death.

Survivors are his wife, Martha Wilson of Shreveport, LA; daughter, Donna Kolniak of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Hali Soderman and Camille Kolniak; sisters, Faye Dahl and Charlene Jarvis; and brothers, Bob and Ben Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Williams, Larry Ussery, Russell Ussery, Doug Wilson, Patrick Kolniak and Wayne Meader. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Myron Wilson.

Memorials may be made to Willis-Knighton Hospice of Louisiana, 3300 Albert Bicknell Drive, Suite 3, Shreveport, LA 71103.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the Hospice staff for the professional and loving care given to Charles, especially to Chaplain Dana Casey and Nurse Jan Barnham.
