C. N. Whitehead Succumbs Here

Charles N. Whitehead, long-time resident of Grayson, suffered a heart attack Wednesday morning just before noon while in front of the Hatten Barber Shop in Grayson.

He was rushed to the Caldwell Hospital in Columbia by a Riser Funeral Home ambulance. He lived about two hours after he arrived there.

Mr. Whitehead was a millwright by trade and was employed in that capacity at Standard with the Louisiana Central Lumber Co. for many years. After the mill cut out there, he moved to Grayson.

At the time of going to press with the Watchman Wednesday afternoon, funeral arrangements had not been made, but burial will be in the Welcome Home cemetery, east of Grayson, it is reported.

Mr. Whitehead is survived by his widow, who resides at the family home in Grayson; three daughters, Mrs. Clois [sic Cloyce] Delcoure of Grayson, Mrs. David Moore of Port Arthur, Texas, and Mrs. Wilma Hanchey of Angola; and one son, Cecil Whitehead of New Mexico.
