CHARLES NELSON CRUM

VARDAMAN -- Charles Nelson Crum died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was 71.

Mr. Crum was a retired Chief Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force with 27 years years of service. He served in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Loyd Crum and Lucy Zimmerman Crum.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Justice Crum of Vardaman; four sons, Michael K. Crum of Vicksburg, Mark Steven Crum and Patrick Shawn Crum, both of Vardaman and David Bryan Crum of Madison; four brothers, H.L. Crum of Natchez, Vernon Crum and Jimmy Crum, both of Ferriday, La., Jerry Dale Crum of Syrna, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman with the Rev. Dale Easley officiating.

Burial with military honors will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Vardaman.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

VARDAMAN -- Charles Nelson Crum, 71, retired Air Force chief master sergeant, died of cancer Thursday at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. He was a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.

Mr. Crum, the husband of Bobbie Justice Crum, also leaves four sons, Michael K. Crum of Vicksburg, Mark Steven Crum and Patrick Shawn Crum, both of Vardaman, and David Bryan Crum of Madison; four brothers, H. L. Crum of Natchez, Vernon Crum and Jimmy Crum, both of Ferriday, La., and Jerry Dale Crum of Smyrna, Tenn., and four grandchildren.
