Charles Robert Spradley

Charles Robert Spradley, 79, 2311 13th Ave., Gulfport, a retired nursing attendant at the Veterans Administration Hospital, died Thursday at 1:30 a.m. in the Biloxi VA Hospital.

Mr. Spradley, born Aug. 10, 1897, in Ocean Springs, had been a lifelong resident of the Coast. He was a World War I veteran, serving with the Army.

He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and he was a Baptist. He retired from the VA in 1954.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. James J. (Lena) Webber and Mrs. Wallace (Louise) Clifford, Gulfport, and Mrs. Paul (Bessie) Dugar, Buras, La., and nine grandchildren.

Friends may call Thursday from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Lang Funeral Home in Gulfport.

The funeral will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Lang Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at the Biloxi VA.
