Charles Griffith

CHATHAM (Special) -- Funeral services for Charles Rudolph Griffith, 68, of Chatham, were held at 2 p.m. today at Chatham Baptist Church with burial in Jonesboro Cemetery under direction of Edmond's Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Masonic rites were conducted at graveside.

Mr. Griffith died about 12:30 p.m. Monday at his home after a long illness. He was a retired postal carrier, a deacon in Chatham Baptist Church, a 32nd degree mason, and a shriner.

Survivors include his widow, Lena [sic Lela] Mae Black Griffith, two sisters, Mrs. Cloy Dell McLeland of Monroe, and Mrs. Paul Miller, Sulphur.
