Charles Campbell, 53, Dies Tuesday; Funeral Friday

LOUISVILLE -- Charles Russell Campbell, 53, of Louisville, formerly of South Bend, died Tuesday night at Nebraska City.

Funeral services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Manley, the Rev. Fr. Edward Szezech officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery at Ashland.

Rosary will be at 8 p.m. tonight at Hobson-Dorr Funeral Home in Weeping Water.

Mr. Campbell was a carpenter.

He is survived by a son, Charles Jr. of Weeping Water; daughters Mrs. Kathleen Spencer and Mrs. Kenneth Clark, both of Weeping Water; a brother, Paul, of South Bend; and four grandchildren.

Charles R. Campbell

WEEPING WATER (Special) -- Charles Russell Campbell of Louisville formerly of South Bend, Nebraska died at St. Mary's Hospital, Nebraska City, Dec. 8, 1970, at the age of 53 years. He was born June 8, 1916, son of Charles H. and Cora E. Campbell, at South Bend, Neb.

He had been employed as a carpenter most of his adult life.

On Jan. 19, 1943 he was married to Katherine Sheehan at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Manley, Neb. They had a son and two daughters.

Rosary services for the family was Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. at Hobson-Dorr Funeral home Weeping Water, Nebraska.

His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his son Charles Jr.; daughters Mrs. Kathleen Spencer and Mrs. Kenneth (Joyce) Clark, all of Weeping Water; brother Paul of South Bend, and four grandchildren.

Hobson-Dorr Funeral Home of Weeping Water was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Ashland Cemetery, Ashland, Nebraska.

Funeral was Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, the Rev. Fr. Edward Szczech officiating. Mrs. Martin Zoz was organist and soloist.

Pallbearers were Bernard Dill, Howard Sack, John Jones, Daniel Sheehan, Cecil Fosberg and Emanuel Bolden. Burial was in Ashland Cemetery.
