Services for Mr. Charles Sanders, 67, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, August 27, 2006, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA, with Rev. Scotty Sanders officiating. Interment will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Sanders was born October 21, 1938, in Hudson, LA and passed away August 25, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA. He served for four years in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. He retired from Mid-South Construction Company.
Mr. Sanders was an avid horseracing fan and will be remembered by all who loved him for his heart of gold and his unwavering desire to help others. He was above all a wonderful husband, dad, pop, papaw, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Viola Roberts Sanders and his brother, Chester Sanders, Jr., all of Winn Parish.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 47 years, Bobbie Sanders of Monroe, LA; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Mike Tucker; and granddaughters, Jessica and Brandi Tucker of Normal, IL; brothers, Garland Sanders of Zwolle, LA and Don Sanders of Baytown, TX; sisters, Lois Booker of Shreveport, LA, and Doyce Garner of Sanford, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dale Willis, Gene Rhymes, Harvey Sexton, Tommy Milazzo, Scott Sanders, Jeff Kellebrew, Willie Holley, and Jordan Milazzo.
Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM, Saturday, August 26, 2006, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA.
