Rites Pending For Minister

McKINNEY, Texas (Sp.) -- Funeral arrangements for the Rev. C. W. Johnson, retired minister of the Church of the Nazarene, were pending Saturday on the arrival of his three children.

The Rev. Mr. Johnson, one of the early day traveling ministers, died Friday at his home here in McKinney.

He had preached throughout Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma as a traveling minister. Later he became an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene where he organized several churches, including a chapel in Big Sandy, which still bears his name.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Miss Imogene Johnson of Washington, D.C.; two sons, Paul F. Johnson of Dallas and Charles Lewis Johnson of South America; four sisters, Mrs. May White of Dallas, Mrs. Carrie Chitsey of Winnsboro, Mrs. Eva Du Hon and Mrs. Blanch Robison, both of Baton Rouge, La.; and a brother, Claude E. Dunn of Dallas.
