WHITTINGTON, CHARLES WADE ``C.W.''

Died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 1980, at his residence in Tunica. He was 51, a native of Sumrall, Miss. He was a corrections officer at the Louisiana State Penitentiary and served in the Air Force.

Visiting at the residence of his mother, Mrs. C.H. Whittington, Woodville, Miss., from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Religious services at Woodville Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday, conducted by Dr. O.B. Beverly, Rev. Ben Carlisle and Rev. Danny Hawthorne. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Woodville.

Survived by his wife, Mrs. Linda Hart Whittington, Tunica; mother, Mrs. Iris Holcomb Whittington, Woodville; a daughter, Mrs. Clarissa W. Swaggart, Natchez, Miss.; three sons, John Charles Whittington, Lawton, Okla., Timothy Wade Whittington, Natchez, and Christopher Wayne Whittington, Tunica; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Hartman, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Sidney McGraw, Woodville; two grandchildren.

He was a member of Woodville Baptist Church.
