Charles William ``Red'' Lowrey ``Billy''

LOWREY, CHARLES WILLIAM ``BILLY'' ``RED'', age 77, of Hueytown, passed away on June 3, 2009. He served as a deacon at Concord Baptist Church, Past Matron of Unity Lodge of Hueytown and Past Patron of Hueytown Eastern Star #353. He was employed at U.S. Steel for 40 years.

Funeral Services will be held at Brown Service West Chapel on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 2:00 pm with burial in Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2009 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine Lowrey; and parents, J.P. and Audrey Lowrey.

Mr. Lowrey is survived by his: daughters, Shelia Davidson, Charlene and Sharon Lowrey; granddaughters, Tina Shapach (Eric) and Tiffany Non (Noeun); great-granddaughter, Darcy Shapach; sisters, Edna Perdue (Bruce) and Mary Hall (Bill); brother, Milford Lowrey (Martha); and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to extend a special ``Thank You'' to Carolyn Woods for all the love and care that she gave to Mr. Charles during his illness. The Lowrey family would also like to acknowledge everyone at Hospice Services of Alabama.
