Charlie A. Guin, Jr.

SHREVEPORT, LA - Graveside services for Charlie A. Guin, Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2004 at Union Grove Cemetery, Montgomery, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Jeanie Fentress.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 1, 2004 at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home.

Mr. Guin was born March 30, 1922 in Montgomery, LA and passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2003 in Shreveport, LA. He was a Baptist and retired Maintenance Supervisor for Swepco. Mr. Guin was a member of LCI 326 where he served as an officer and was past president of the Union Grove Memorial Cemetery Association.

His sons, Ronnie Guin and Harry Guin, grandson, John Guin and brother, Malcolm Guin preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife, Jean Carpenter Guin of Shreveport, LA; son, Darren Guin of Mooringsport, LA; daughter, Barbara Festervand and husband, Charles of Benson, LA; sister, Julia Pierce of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Nikki Pietz and husband, Chris of Colorado Springs, CO, David Guin and Jennifer McCullough and husband, Tommy all of Shreveport, LA; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bill Cody, Roy Cody, George Campbell, Jim Collier, Cecil Betevy, Bryan Hines and Lewis Stevenson. Honorary pallbearers will be Sherwood Searcy, George Evans, David Guin and Tommy McCullough.
