Charlie Burel Lasyone
Mr. Charlie Burel Lasyone, age 68 of Dodson, Louisiana passed away on Friday, September 06, 2013.
Born Saturday, September 23, 1944 in Winnfield, Louisiana, he was employed with North Louisiana & Gulf Railroad for many years and later retired from the LA. Dept. of Transportation and Development. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed playing with his dogs. He was a 1963 graduate of Dodson High School and along with his wife, was caretaker of Siloam (Gansville) Cemetery and church grounds for many years.
Mr. Lasyone was preceded in death by his Parents, Jewel and Rosie Lasyone; Brother, Pinkey Lasyone and wife Ruby; Sisters, Pauline Vines, Eunice Taylor, Patsy Lasyone and Grace Acreman.
Those left to cherish his memory include his Wife of 43 years, Jerry Lasyone, Dodson, LA; Daughter, Jeannie Gaar and husband Steven, Dodson, LA; Sons, Danny Nolley and wife Pam, Broussard, LA and Chris Lasyone and Tina Krieg, Youngsville, LA; Grandchildren, Jeremy Ables, Amy Ables, Spence Gaar & Mauri, Desmond Gaar and Benjamin Daniel Nolley; Great Granddaughter, Lexy Robinson; His four legged babies, Oliver and Precious; Twin Brother, Earl Lasyone and wife Betty; Sister, Nita Shirley; Brother, Waylon Lasyone; Brothers-in-law, Waymond Taylor, Edgar Shows & Melba, Don Shows & Barbara; Sister-in-law - Mary Tinsley & Jim.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 08 at Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM , and again on Monday, September 09 at Siloam Baptist Church, from 10:00 AM until time of services.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 09, 2013 at Siloam Baptist Church with Rev. Adam Stanfield and Rev. Charlie Hammons officiating. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery, in Gansville.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Clinton Lasyone, Spence Gaar, Delton Carpenter, Jason Shows, Justin Tinsley and Thurman Lasyone,
Memorial contributions may be made to the Siloam Cemetery Fund.
