Charlie P. Hardy

Services for Charlie Prichard Hardy will be at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Hixson Bros., Alexandria, with the Rev. Dr. Paul D. Tunkle officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Natchez City Cemetery, Natchez, Miss., with the Rev. Curtis Moffet officiating.

Mrs. Hardy, 86, of Alexandria died Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at Matthews Memorial Health Care Center in Alexandria.

She was a graduate of Milsaps College and taught second grade at Aiken Elementary School for 18 years. She was a member of The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America, Order of the First Families of Mississippi 1699-1817, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Kappa Delta Sorority, Alexandria Service League, Thursday Bridge Club, and a charter member of the Deep South Garden Club. She was also a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Alexandria.

Survivors include two sons, James W. Hardy Jr. of Mt. Belvieu, Texas, and Dr. Humphrey Hill ``Rocky'' Hardy of Ponca City, Okla. and five grandchildren.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. until time of services today in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 1620 Murray Street, Alexandria, La., 71301.

ALEXANDRIA, La. -- Services for Charlie Prichard Hardy, 86, who died Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at Matthews Memorial Health Care Center, will be at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Hixson Brothers in Alexandria, with the Rev. Dr. Paul D. Tunkle officiating.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Natchez City Cemetery with the Rev. Curtis Moffet officiating. Burial is under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home.

Jr., Tabitha and Kara; four nieces, Mrs. John (Kate Don) Green, Mrs. Kenneth (Mary Ann) Jones, Mrs. Wilton (Pat) Dale and Mrs. Hayden (Barbara) Kaiser, all of Natchez and Frances Gill, first cousin from Jackson.
