Charline Halverson

Graveside services for Charline Halverson of Westlake will be held Monday at 6 p.m. at Dutch Cove Cemetery in Sulphur. The Rev. Rocky East will officiate. There will be a reading by Jim Lawton of Athens, Texas and the eulogy will be delivered by Jamie Sutherland of Sulphur.

Mrs. Halverson died Saturday, June 5, 2004 in a Sulphur Care Center.

Visitation will be Monday from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Hixson Funeral Home in Westlake.

Mrs. Halverson was born in Jackson, Miss. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She had lived in Westlake for 78 years.

Survivors include her husband, Leo Halverson of Sulphur; one daughter Eliska Counts of Westlake; three brothers, Dr. James Marble, Robert ``Bob'' Marble and Kenneth Marble, all of Terry, Miss.; two sisters, Slyvia [sic Sylvia] Sistruck of Jackson, Miss and Carolyn Simmons of Moss Bluff; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother Thelma Bazoon Marble, father James B. Marble, a nephew Terry Ray Simmons and a sister Joyce Marble.
