Funeral rites for Mrs. Leo (Checkie McDaniel) Bird were held at 2 p.m. June 10 in the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Glen Eckols officiated. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Mrs. Bird, a native of Panola County, died June 9 in Panola General Hospital.
Survivors include two sons, Julius Bird and Lennox K. Bird, both of Carthage; a daughter, Mrs. Rapheal Crawford Sr. of Carthage.
Also a brother, Mose McDaniel of Lufkin, four grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
