Cheryl Ann Sherwood
It is with deep sorrow that we share that Cheryl Ann Sherwood of Green Valley was tragically killed as a result of a brutal midday attack Feb. 3, 2016, in a parking lot outside Macy's at the Solano Town Center mall in Fairfield. Cheryl died from her injuries Feb. 5, 2016. She was 63.
Cheryl was born April 13, 1952, in Alameda. She spent most of her childhood in Castro Valley.
Cheryl was an extraordinary woman who lived her life with purpose and passion. Nursing was Cheryl's passion for more than 35 years. She loved her Kaiser Permanente coworkers and patients and they loved her dearly. Cheryl will be remembered for her selflessness, generosity and love for life. She loved her cats, her cooking hobby, her exercise classes and most of all, her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Alberta LaTorres; her sister, Pamela Prince; her husband of 23 years and best friend, Lee Sherwood; five stepchildren and 15 grandchildren.
The community and all of Cheryl's patients, coworkers and friends are invited to join the family in celebration of her life at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at The Clubhouse at Rancho Solano, 3250 Rancho Solano Parkway, Fairfield. All inquiries should be directed to Lee Sherwood 707-331-3503.
