Funeral services for C. C. Stephens, Sr. 83, of Wisner were held at 10: a.m., Tuesday, May 18, in the Chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home.

Interment was in South Central Cemetery with the Rev. John F. Baker and the Rev. C. R. Nugent officiating.

A native of Wisner, he was born March 8, 1899. He was self employed as a farmer. He died on May 16, 1982.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Odie Stephens, Wisner; four sons, J. D. Stephens, Shreveport, W. K. Stephens and Charlie Stephens, Jr., both of Wisner; and Chris C. Stephens, Jr., Wisner; two daughters, Mrs. Ben C. Kimble, Gilbert and Mrs. Billy Jannes, Wisner; two brothers, Julian Stephens and Earl Stephens, both of Wisner; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.
