Died Sunday, March 12, 1995, in Pride as a result of an automobile accident. He was 21, a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Pride. He was a student at Southeastern Louisiana University, Hammond.

Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, 6700 Florida Blvd., 10 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Eugene Case. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Survived by parents, Carla and Keith Boykin, Woodville, Miss., and Jerry Powers, Baker; maternal grandmother, Pearl Rome, Baton Rouge; paternal grandparents, Lazelle and Carol Boykin, Ferriday, and Myrtle and James Powers, Natchez, Miss.; a sister, Stormy Boykin, McComb, Miss.; fiancee, Darthie Palmer, Baton Rouge; an aunt, Cathy Rome, Baton Rouge; an uncle, Percy Rome Jr., Pride; and numerous other relatives. Preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Percy Rome Sr.

Pallbearers will be Robert Redden, Eric Stevenson, Chris Sibley, Chad Wallace, Keith Boykin, and Jerry Powers. He was a member of Bender Boys Inc.
