Christine Eagles Jenkins

Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Eagles Jenkins, 93, were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 4, 2000, in the chapel of Bailey Funeral Home of Springhill with the Rev. Todd Pickard officiating. Burial followed in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill.

She died at 5:15 a.m., Friday, June 2 in the Glenn Oaks Care Center after a long illness.

Mrs. Jenkins was a resident of Shreveport, formerly of Springhill, and was a member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Olive Elizabeth Watson and husband, T.G. of Vicksburg, Miss., and Barbara Ann Lee and husband Marvin of StoneWall; two sons, George ``Bub'' Edward Jenkins and wife Marion, and James Morris Jenkins and wife Opal, all of Atlanta, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were her grandsons.

Visitation was held from 5 until 9 p.m., Saturday, June 3 and from 9 a.m. until time of services, Sunday, June 4 in the chapel of Bailey Funeral Home.

Memorials or contributions may be made to the Shriner's Children Hospital.
