Christine Mangum Wooten

FOREST -- Christine Mangum Wooten, 82 of Forest, died on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Pioneer Community Hospital in Newton. Visitation was held from 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday, June 10, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, at Colonial Chapel. Burial was in Eastern Cemetery.

Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Forest was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wooten was a great cook who enjoyed gardening. She loved caring for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed taking care of her pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Olivia Evans; first spouse, James Mangum; sister, Lavern Mouton; granddaughter, Crisandra Dale Williamson.

Survivors include her husband, William H. Wooten of Forest; son, Phil (Dixie) Mangum, Cordova, Tenn.; daughters, Crissie (Dale) Mangum Williamson of Forest and Jan (Mitchell) Mangum Gardner of Brandon; grandchildren, Caleb (Heather) Evan Gardner of Brandon, Brandy Lynn Mangum of Charleston, S.C., and Kacie Ann Mangum of Chattanooga, Tenn.; step-sons, Robert (Donna) Wooten of Panama City, Fla., and Pat (Melinda) Cooksey, of Lake.
