Christine Manly Franklin
(April 16, 1938 - September 19, 2015)

Christine Manly Franklin passed from this life to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe after a lengthy illness. A celebration of her home going will be Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 10:00 AM from the sanctuary of Pine Hill Baptist Church in Olla. The family will receive visitors Monday, September 21, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church. Bro. Ed Smith will officiate the services. Interment will follow at Urania Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia.

Christine was preceded in death by her son, Andy Franklin, her parents Wilber W. and Ruby Volentine Manly, her 2 brothers, John W. Manly and Jerry Manly.

Those left to cherish her memory are 2 daughters, Becky Franklin of Olla, Pam Jones and her husband Brent of Olla. Her grandchildren, Dustin and Charlie Jones of Urania, Paige and Jeremy Carraway of Tullos and Logan Franklin of Olla. Also, the joys of her life, her beautiful great-grandchildren, Kenlee and Kaylee Carraway and Landon and Carson Jones. Also by a host of family and friends that loved her dearly.

Christine was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to all she knew. She loved the Lord and taught her children that through all things in life, God would take care of you. She had the joys of her life to always put a smile on her face, that of her 4 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Jones, Clay Manly, Mike McDonald, C.H. Boyd, Heath Boyd, and Glenn Henderson.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Fincher and all of the ICU and ER staff at St. Francis Medical Center for how they took care of mama. Also, thank you to Dr. Brian Smith, his staff, and all of those who cared for her at the Haven Nursing Center. You care will be forever appreciated. And a very special thank you to Bro. Ed Smith and Mrs. Billie. We couldn't have done this without you both. God sent you just when we needed you.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pine Hill Baptist Church of Olla or tho the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home in Monroe.
