Christine Waldrop Armstrong
MARSHALL -- Services for Christine Waldrop Armstrong, 87, of Marshall, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at the Colonial Chapel of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home, with the Revs. Jim Houston and Ron Segers officiating. Interment will be in Waldrop Cemetery in Panola County. Mrs. Waldrop died May 22, 2009, in Shreveport, La.
Born June 7, 1921, in Beckville, she worked as a school bus driver for Marshall schools, at Blue Buckle factory and Thiokol, was owner and operator of a grocery store and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Judge, Jerry and Tommy Armstrong; daughter, Carolyn Neely; sisters, Elsie Lovelace, Nell Murry and Ann Chandler; and brothers, Roy Waldrop and Grady Cherry. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, May 25, 2009, at the funeral home.
