Chuck Richardson
April 25, 2003

Chuck Richardson, age 43, of Meshoppen, PA, passed away from injuries as a result of a violent crime. Chuck was found on Friday, April 25, 2003 near Harrisburg, after being reported missing earlier in the week.

Chuck was born in Doylestown on Oct. 20, 1959, the son of Delores Richardson of Moon Township and the late John Richardson, who passed away on June 15, 1994.

Chuck was a graduate of the Central Bucks West High School in Doylestown. He owned and operated Professional Calibration, Inc., of Meshoppen, the company he and his father operated together until his father's death. Chuck also was a great collector of railroad memorabilia, bottles and antiques with local history.

He was an active member of the Rought-Hall Post #510 American Legion, Black Walnut. He was also a very active member of the Meshoppen Volunteer Fire Company, where he was an officer since 1995. While in the fire company, he served on several committees and was very instrumental in the construction and management of the food booth at the Wyoming County Fair. His next vision for the fire company was the new fire truck and the construction of a new fire hall. Chuck went above and beyond his duty as a firefighter. Chuck was also a member of the Meshoppen Rod and Gun Club, where he was active with the annual Super Bowl Sunday parties and their chicken barbecues and steak bakes. He had many avenues of interest and donated to many other civic organizations in Wyoming, Bradford and Susquehanna counties.

Besides his mother, survivors include Tracey Sincavage, his closest companion and soul mate; a brother, Lee Richardson, Moon Township; a sister, Lynne Richardson, Perkasie; two nieces, Ashley and Rachel Richardson, both of Moon Township; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Helen Richardson of Hazelhurst, MS; an aunt, Barbara Richardson of Metarie, LA. Chuck thought of Tracey's family as his own and he was very devoted to them. His extended family includes, Mrs. Arlene Sincavage of Meshoppen, whom Chuck thought of as his mother-in-law; Tracey's sisters, Joyce Sincavage, Lori Sincavage, Sandra Palmer, Janet Sincavage and Mari Lou Sincavage; also several nieces and nephews. Also a very special friend, whom Chuck helped and worked many hours with, Mrs. Betty Kitchnefsky of Black Walnut.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 11 a.m. from the Meshoppen United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Herron of the church officiating. A time of fellowship and reception will follow at the Rought-Hall Post #510 American Legion in Black Walnut.

The family will furnish their own flowers. They humbly request that memorial donations be sent to the Meshoppen Volunteer Fire Company.

Arrangements were made through the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Meshoppen.
