Cigers Alvin Erskine

Funeral services for Cigers Alvin Erskine, 96, of Winnsboro were held Friday at the Chapel of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro with Mr. Charles Lauchner officiating.

Interment followed in Providence Memorial Cemetery near Winnsboro under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home.

Mr. Erskine died Tuesday, July 20, 1993 at the Nurse Care Nursing Home in Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arizona Erskine and one grandson, John Wise, Jr.

Survivors include two daughters, Ona Mae Cox, Shreveport; Lois Wise, Hot Springs, N.C., six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Bo Erskine, Barry Erskine, James Marion Erskine, J. E. Bennett, Kent Bennett and Don Bennett.
