MRS. CLARA McCARTY
Mrs. Clara McCarty, 54, of 209 Lillac [sic? Lilac] St., West Monroe, died in a local hospital Saturday morning following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Bethel Baptist Church in West Monroe, with the Revs. Olan D. Walters and Lion L. Crowell officiating.
Interment will be in Sikes Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick's Funeral Home of West Monroe.
Survivors are her husband, Wesley McCarty, West Monroe; four sons, John, Fred, Ray, and Don, all of West Monroe; two brothers, Sam Gentry, and Horace Gentry, both of West Monroe; one sister, Mrs. Lyidia [sic Lydia] Willis, West Monroe, and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Hugh Ward, Harold L. Willis, Johnny Frift, Pete Edney, Alton Edney, Buck Clark Jr., Levelle Gentry, and John Gentry.
