MRS. EDDIE TAUNTON SUCCUMBS TO ILLNESS OF LONG DURATION

Following an illness of many months, attributed to complications the spirit of Mrs. Clara Harmon Taunton, devoted wife of Mr. Eddie Taunton, returned to her Heavenly Father early Monday morning.

The deceased with the daughter of the late Mr. Henry H. and Mrs. Sudie Harris Harmon, and was born in this county June 1, 1884 and spent her entire life in the community in which she was born and reared.

She had been a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah church from childhood and where funeral services took place Tuesday afternoon, 5 o'clock, conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. H. Stanford, with interment in the cemetery nearby. Acting as pallbearers were the following: Tom Harmon, Joseph Harmon, Jas. Harmon, Harris Harmon, Harmon Kirksey and Brown Eubanks.

Besides her devoted husband, Mrs. Taunton is survived by five sons and four daughters, to-wit: Messrs Elmer, Calvin, Emory, Alfred and Wanza Taunton; Miss Mary Susan Taunton, Mrs. Eva Joiner, Mrs. Hugh Bone and Mrs. J. T. Orrell Jr.
